“Learning-By-Doing” Opportunities for Students UoB’s “Business Administration” Trains Its Members in Cooperation with The Experts of Harvard University Publishing Center

In cooperation with the Harvard University Publishing Center, the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain (UoB) held a training workshop for members of the academic staff, to familiarize themselves with the teaching methods, in one of the oldest business schools in the world, and to identify the latest practices regarding enhancing learning-by-doing opportunities, and that is through focusing on integrating case studies, experiential learning, and simulation in the curriculum. The College’s instructors were awarded “golden membership,” which allows them to use all the educational resources available to their Harvard peers.
This workshop comes within the endeavor of UoB’s College of Business Administration to enhance students’ social skills and prepare graduates for the local and global labor markets, at a time of artificial intelligence and modern technologies dominating decision-making.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Hatem bin Mahmood Al-Masri, indicated that, since the year 2020, the College of Business Administration began to modernize teaching methods, by providing a calendar that is commensurate with the application of modern strategies in education, and giving a wider scope for students to use modern educational resources, enhance their abilities and skills, especially the skill of lifelong learning.
As the Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation Office at the College of Business Administration supervised the preparation of this workshop, and the Director of the Office, Dr. Hessa Mubarak Al-Fadel, indicated that the College seeks to have the content easily available to students and obtainable upon request, which enables them to be more interactive and interconnected, in addition to focusing on applying theoretical concepts and linking them to professional practices, and focusing on the students’ ability to benefit of what they learned during the assessment.
