Issued By Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center in the UAE Dr. Diya Al-Ka’abi as a Member of The Higher Committee of The International Generation Treasure Award

The Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Diya Abdullah Al-Ka’abi, was chosen as a member of the Higher Committee of the International Generation Treasure Award, which is issued by Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center in the United Arab Emirates.
The Center of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi launched this new award, which was derived from one of the poems of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the late president and founder of the United Arab Emirates, and it developed its objectives from his poems as well. The award aims to honor Nabati poetic works, folklore studies, and research.
Dr. Al-Ka’abi, an associate professor of narratives and modern literary criticism, expressed her pleasure for being selected as a member of the Award’s committee, which is an international award that celebrates Arab culture, and is concerned with translating it into other languages, praising the Award’s branches and topics, which will contribute to enriching Arab literary production.
As the total value of the Award in its six branches amounts to about one million five hundred thousand dirhams.
Also, Dr. Al-Ka’abi recently attended the meetings of the Preparatory Committee held in Abu Dhabi, to set the conditions for candidacy for this new Award, as the meeting was chaired by the President of Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Center, Dr. Ali bin Tamim.
It is worth noting that the folklore in its various arts of prose and poetry, was at the center of Dr. Al-Ka’abi’s attention, and it represented her area of scientific work, as she published the Encyclopedia of “Bahraini Folktales… A Thousand and One Tales”, and presented studies in Nabati Gulf poetry, in addition to her specialization in narratives.
