A Study Applied to Saudi Banks.. A Study at UoB Proves the Role of Strategic Agility and Competitiveness on The Performance of The Retail Banking Sector

A study conducted at the University of Bahrain (UoB) confirmed that strategic agility has a direct impact on the performance of operations in the retail banking sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The study was conducted by Basheer Abdullah Al-Nattar, a master’s student from the Department of Management and Marketing at the College of Business Administration, under the title “The Role of Strategic Agility and Competitiveness on Operational Performance: An Applied Study of the Banking Sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia”.
The results of the study – which was applied to 140 employees working in the retail banking sector – showed that strategic agility has a great relationship with competitiveness factors, as well as a direct impact on the performance of operations in the retail banking sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. “Strategic agility” means the ability to improve performance and thrive by continually anticipating and responding to adaptive circumstances.
The discussion committee consisted of the Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at UoB, Dr. Abdulsattar Abdulbaqi Al-Azzawi, as a supervisor, the associate professor in the Department of Management and Marketing, Dr. Sayed Ali Habib Al-Amir, as an internal examiner, and Prof. Dr. Imad Fakhri Taha, as an external examiner.
