A Student at University of Bahrain Wins First Place in “His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award”

A student at the University of Bahrain has won first place in His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa (may God have mercy on him) Quran Award, after competing against 73 contestants in the last ten parts of the Holy Quran.
The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, expressed her pleasure that the student Zain Khamis Al-Nuaimi won the first place, noting the importance of this competition that encourages memorization of the Holy Quran, contemplation of its meanings and mastering its recitation, which would reflect positively on young people in all areas.
The second edition of the competition was held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Lulwa bint Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Honorary President of Al Noor Charity Welfare that organized the competition.
The winner is a first-year student at the Department of Biology at the College of Science. She is a member of Sharifa Alawadhi Youth and Children Club. She has participated in several local and international competitions. She has previously participated in this competition and won the third place in Ramadan of last year.
Al-Nuaimi stated, “I always strive to develop my abilities and aspire to participate in other local and international competitions. I reap the fruits of my love of the Holy Quran in my life. She called on everyone, of all ages, to learn and teach Quran, with the rules of its various recitations.”
Shaikha Aisha bint Rashid Al Khalifa, representing the sponsor of the ceremony, honored the members of the examination committees and the winners of the competition, in the presence of the President of the Al-Noor Charity Welfare and the Chairperson of the Permanent Committee of the Award, Sheikha Lamia bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, the Vice President of the Al-Noor Charity Welfare, Shaikha Lulwa bint Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, and a number of its female members, the parents of the participants, and a number of media professionals.
It is worthy to note that qualifiers to His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Quran Award were held during the holy month of Ramadan, under the organization of the Al Noor Charity Welfare for the second year in a row. They were held via video conferencing technology using Microsoft Teams program for evaluation of the contestants.
