During a Field Trip to The Public Health Directorate Students of “Biology” at UoB grasp the Mechanism of Food Inspection

A group of students from the Department of Biology at the College of Science from the University of Bahrain (UoB) visited the Public Health Directorate, during which they were briefed on the mechanism of inspecting different types of food, and how to ensure they are free of pathogenic microbes. In addition, the students visited the chemical analysis laboratory to identify food components.
As the field visit to the Public Health Directorate aimed to activate classroom activities and familiarize students in the Department of Biology with various national bodies and institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This visit was organized by the College of Science in cooperation with the Career Counseling Office of the Office of the Vice President for Community Service and Alumni Affairs at UoB.
The officials in the Public Health Department thanked the University’s efforts in developing communication and introducing the government sector to the various fields of specialization the University offeres.
