The session was moderated by the lecturer at the Accounting Department, Dolah Abdullah Al-Mulla, who opened the meeting with some statistical facts in the field of entrepreneurship that aim to inspire and encourage listeners to take bold steps towards launching a business. Also, she referred to some technical skills, such as a simple knowledge of the world of accounting, which is necessary for any entrepreneur, in addition to general skills such as communication and leadership.
For his part, Al-Ashiri spoke about his diverse experience of more than sixteen years in the field of auditing for many sectors, including banking and financial institutions, the telecommunications sectors, and the manufacturing sectors, through his career in audit services at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Trust Audit and Consulting, and his work as a financial advisor at Saudi Makamen Oil and Gas Services Group.

Also, he indicated that his communication skills and self-confidence contributed to making the right decision at the right time, knowing the timing of making the decisive decision if the previous decision did not succeed and did not achieve what was expected, and how to take a step forward and move to the next idea or project.
Al-Ashiri touched upon some of the challenges facing accountants, such as the use of software, the automation of accounting processes, the acquisition of new skills that are constantly required, and the emergence of new rules and regulations.
He answered students’ questions on matters such as investing or starting a business when there is a small amount of money, and the appropriate timing to take professional certificates such as: CPA, ACCA and CFA.
