During A Meeting with The Deanships of Admission and Registration and Student Affairs President Of UoB: We Are Working to Overcome the Difficulties of Registration Services and We Are Studying the Diploma Proposal for Those Who Are Unable to Finish Their Bachelor’s Studies Academically

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahki, said: “Work is underway to develop the admission and registration system to overcome difficulties, and to develop a number of sports facilities, in addition to enhancing student activity.” Also, she confirmed that the university is studying a proposal to grant a diploma to students who are unable to continue academically.
This came in an open meeting conducted by Dr. Al-Mudhahki with the administrators of the Deanship of Admission and Registration and the Deanship of Student Affairs, in the hall of the E-Learning Center, on Thursday (May 16, 2022), as she responded to the issues raised by the administrative staff regarding the pace of work and the services provided to students on both sides of the two Deanships, and she stated: “The University of Bahrain is seriously studying all proposals and observations aimed at developing work and improving the quality of services, which would facilitate many challenges and difficulties,” pointing out that the University puts the student’s interest in mind and gives it first priority.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Mudhahki stated that the new functional structure of the University is currently being studied in coordination with the civil service and its features will become clear after the joint meetings.
Also, Dr. Al-Mudhahki welcomed the proposal granting volunteer students who serve students with disabilities, and regular students in the programs of the Guidance and Counseling Department courses, of something that enhances their activity and proves their volunteering, and she commended a proposal to transfer the service of requests for printing paper statements and certificates to electronic transactions in coordination with official institutions, to make things easier for students, reduce pressure on employees, and reduce paper consumption in line with government directions.
Furthermore, at the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Mudhahki praised the great role played by the Deanships of Admission and Registration and Student Affairs and the services they perform. In this context, she said: “The two deanships are two wings with which the university flies, given the direct services they provide to students, from the beginning of their university journey until graduation.”.
In addition to the University President, questions were answered by the Vice President for Information Technology, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, the Vice President for Academic Programs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qadir, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Maliki, and the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Amal Zayed Al-Zayed.
