As Mentor of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the Dean of the College of Business Administration at UoB Visits the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi

The Dean of the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain, Prof.  Hatim bin Mahmoud  Al-Masri, in his capacity as a mentor of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), visited the School of Business Studies (SBS) at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, Pakistan, on September 1, 2022, to follow up its obtaining (AACSB) accreditation.

Prof. Al-Masri was received by the Executive Director of the Institute of Business Administration, Prof. Sayed Akbar Zaidi, the Dean of the School of Business Studies, Dr. Abdullah Zafar Sheikh, the Chairperson of the Accreditation Committee, Dr. Sana Touseef, and faculty members of the School of Business Studies.

During his visit, Prof. Al-Masri took a campus tour and attended a series of meetings that focused on the process of continuous improvement and overcoming obstacles. These meetings were also attended by the Dean, the Accreditation Committee, heads and coordinators of the programs, heads of departments, and faculty members. Dr. Al-Masry presented guidelines in the areas of improvement and commended the Institute of Business Administration for its commitment to fulfilling the requirements and conditions of accreditation. The College of Business Studies held a meeting with more than 30 executives of the graduates of the Institute of Business Administration.

It is worth noting that Dr. Hatem Al-Masry, besides being a mentor at AACSB, serves as President of the African Confederation of Operations Research Societies (AFROS), Chairperson of the Bahrain Research Group of the International Organization of Practitioners in Operations Research and Management Sciences, Secretary General of the Tunisian Decision Aid Society, and Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). He has also published more than 30 refereed scientific papers in scientific and international journals, and six scientific books, including a university book on Islamic business management.
