In Collaboration with ThinkSmart, 300 Students at the University of Bahrain Prepare for Obtaining ICT Professional Certificates

University of Bahrain Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qader, stated that the University has recently started implementing its agreement with ThinkSmart to train 300 students at the University and develop their professional and vocational skills in the field of information and communication technology.

 

Dr. Qader added that this type of agreements with specialized companies gives students an opportunity to smoothly engage in the labor market, through obtaining practical experiences and practices in the local and foreign labor markets, based on mastering business-related technologies, which are indispensable in all the practical fields nowadays.

 

Students will be trained to acquire and develop important technical skills to increase their chances of obtaining jobs after graduation, as students will obtain professional certificates from Microsoft after successfully completing the program.

 

The company started the training program, which will extend until March 2023 with the participation of 100 students from the College of Information Technology, to be followed by 100 students from the College of Engineering, and then 100 students from the College of Business Administration.

 

The launch of the program was attended by Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader, Dean of the College of Information Technology, Dr. Hessa Jassim Al-Junaid, and Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems at the College of Information Technology, Dr. Amal Mohammad Al-Rayes.

 

Present from ThinkSmart were General Manager Akash Mangal, Project Manager Marwa Radwan, and Project Coordinator Nouran Muhammad.

 

 

 

It is worthy to note that ThinkSmart is a Bahraini company that has been working for two decades in the field of ICT development and training in the Gulf region.
