In Implementation of a Memorandum of Understanding with The Public Authority for Sports Dr. Khenji: Supporting Efforts to Upgrade the Sports and Youth Sector in Bahrain

The Dean of the College of Health and Sports Sciences (CHSS) at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Lina Moammed Khenji, confirmed that the College will put forth its best efforts to implement the memorandum of cooperation signed between the University and the Public Authority for Sports, to create a favorable environment that contributes to the advancement of sports cadres in various dimensions.
Dr. Khenji praised the support of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee for cooperation between the National University and the Public Authority for Sports to providing an educational and training system for athletes.
As the President of UoB, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudahka, and the CEO of the Public Sports Authority, Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, signed the memorandum of cooperation in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who emphasized the importance of striving to create a suitable environment for distinguished players to obtain academic achievement in parallel with the continuation of his athletic endeavor, hoping that the memorandum of understanding will be one of the levers of the sports scene in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The memorandum allows a number of distinguished players in various sports aspects to join UoB, in order to enhance sports talents and skills in scientific aspects, which enriches the players performance and their field presence.
Moreover, Dr. Khenji mentioned that the memorandum of understanding requires the admission of athletes to UoB according to several controls governed by the National University, and it provides for cooperation between the two sides in organizing conferences and events specialized in the sports field, in addition to exchanging knowledge experiences, scientific research and studies related to the sports sector.
The Dean of CHSS stressed the importance of providing technical and scientific support in sports, training, and research activities between the two sides in a way that benefits the sports and youth sector, and to develop plans and work programs that contribute to achieve common goals.
