University of Bharain is Discussing Ways of Cooperation with Mutah University

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, received the President of Mutah University of Jordan, Dr. Arafat Atwi Awajan, at the University’s headquarters in Sakhir, on Thursday (17 November 2022).
Dr. Al-Mudhahka discussed ways of joint scientific and research cooperation with the President of Mutah University, reviewing some aspects of UoB’s strategic plan, the new programs it has recently introduced, and others that the University plans to launch in the near future. Referring to the University’s relentless pursuit of international accreditations, and the continuous improvement of higher education outputs at UoB.
Moreover, the President appreciated the delegation’s visit, confirming its great impact on strengthening the international relationship and partnership between the University of Bahrain and Mutah University of Jordan, as it is one of the most important universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
For his part, the President of Jordan’s Mutah University, Arafat Atwi Awajan, praised UoB scientific and research role, stressing his keenness to enhance cooperation, and to strengthen and consolidate relations, in order to achieve the maximum possible scientific and research benefit between the two universities. In addition, he expressed his pride in all the UoB achievements, its uniqueness in offering innovative programs, and its constant obtainment of more accreditations and advanced academic classifications at the level of universities in the world, which makes it the focus of students’ interest and increases their desire to join it.
This meeting comes within the framework of cooperation between the two parties in the field of joint supervision of postgraduate theses, exchange of professors, research and others. From UoB, the meeting was attended by the Vice President for Academic Programs and Graduate Studies, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qadir, Advisor to the President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Día Saqr Al-Jalahma, and the Director of the Bahrain Studies Center, Dr. Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa. While on the part of the Jordanian Mu’tah University, the delegation included the Vice President for Military Affairs, Brigadier General Issam Mahmood Al-Khattab, and Director of the Liaison Office Department, Dr. Mohammed Faris Al-Mufleh.
It is worth noting that the Jordanian Mutah University was established by a royal decree in 1981 and offers many programs compatible with programs offered by UoB in the scientific, technical and humanities fields.
