The President of UoB Receives the Secretary General of AARU

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudahka, received the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities (AARU), Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, at her headquarters in Sakhir, on Monday (28 November 2022), to discuss ways of academic and research cooperation.
Dr. Al-Mudahka confirmed the National University’s efforts in providing several research and scientific centers keeping pace with the modern technological development, in addition to encouraging the university’s academic staff members and students to engage in scientific research, pointing to the importance of activating academic and research programs using modern technologies, to achieve sustainability in education.
For his part, the Secretary General of AARU expressed his thanks and appreciation for the kind reception, wishing the University continued success in advancing higher education. During the meeting, he reviewed the role of the Association in the higher education sector, in promoting innovative research initiatives, keeping pace with modern education methods, disseminating the culture of scientific research and applied research, and its holding of scientific workshops and seminars.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qadir, Vice President for Information Technology Services and Administrative and Financial Affairs from UoB, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, Director of the E-Learning Center, Dr. Fai bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, and Assistant Professor at the College of Information Technology, Dr. Amal Mohammed Al-Rayes.
The Director of the General Administration of the Association, Lina Al-Bitar, aslo attended the meeting.
