At the Inauguration of the Business Incubation Center at UoB Dr. Al-Mudhahka Affirms: The Entrepreneurship Sector Has the Interest and Support of His Majesty the King

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, confirmed that the entrepreneurship sector has the attention and support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as the entrepreneurship sector is one of the main domains in the development of various vital sectors, in line with the principles of Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, as it supports the national economy and has a fundamental role in the Kingdom’s ability to keep pace with global economies.
This inauguration of the Business Incubator Center, was held under the auspices of the UoB President, on Wednesday (30 November 2022), in the presence of the vice-presidents, a number of deans, members of the academic and administrative staff, elite business leaders and representatives of the private and public sectors.
Moreover, Dr. Jawaher Bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka affirmed that the University is an integral part of the entrepreneurship system, due to its importance in developing entrepreneurial skills, finding solutions to problems entrepreneurs and many institutions in various sectors face. The University contributes to embracing creative ideas, graduating a generation capable of contributing to the national economy, marketing research, and technology transfer.
Furthermore, the University President expressed her thanks and appreciation to everyone who supported the Business Incubator Center – entrepreneurs, specialists, and academics – in its endeavors to achieve what the university and the Kingdom aspire to in the field of entrepreneurship. In addition, she thanked the prominent support of INJAZ Bahrain and the partners who contributed to the development of the university students’ skills in the field of entrepreneurship, starting their own entrepreneurial projects, and winning many awards, due to this support and encouragement.
For her part, the Director of the Business Incubation Center, Dr. Israa Ahmed Wali, said the Center, in its new and developed design, seeks to meet the needs of entrepreneurs of university students and graduates, provide them with an ideal environment for creativity, and transform their innovative ideas into successful commercial projects. Moreover, it contributes to strengthening the entrepreneurship sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through its various services and programs, which aim to increase awareness on the important role of entrepreneurship, in addition to providing them with support for growth and success in the establishment and development stages, in addition to establishing partnerships and cooperating with the competent and concerned authorities from the entrepreneurship environment in the Kingdom.
