The University of Bahrain Organizes the Annual Forum for Postgraduate Students on Wednesday 28, 2022

The Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Athraa Sayed Abbas Al-Mousawi, stated that the university seeks to develop the research skills of postgraduate students in a way that would contribute to research advancement. Dr Al-Mousawi made this statement on account of the Deanship preparing to organize the annual forum for postgraduate students on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at the E-learning Center on the university campus in Sakhir.
Dr. Al-Musawi mentioned that the forum includes several intensive workshops to train students on the skills of research preparation, drafting and presentation, in addition to training students on the methods of writing scientific papers for participation in scientific conferences and research seminars.
Dr. Al-Musawi announced that the Deanship intends to organize a forum at the end of the second semester to review the students’ research outcomes in scientific papers prepared in systematic ways. Adding that the forum is likely to be held in May 2023.
The annual forum for postgraduate students shall kick off at 4:00 pm on Wednesday December 28, 2022, with a presentation on preparing a research plan proposal and meetings with the supervisor, to be presented by faculty member at the College of Arts, Dr. Tawfiq Abdul Moneim Tawfiq, and the faculty member at the Bahrain Teachers College, Dr. Hassan Mohsen Al-Wadi. It will be followed by a presentation on university thesis design and the use of university resources to be presented by the faculty member at the College of Arts, Dr. Ahmed Saad Jalal, and the faculty member at the College of Sciences, Dr. Simon Perna. Then, there will be a lecture on the development of oral presentation and academic communication skills by the faculty member at the College of Engineering, Dr. Hayat Abdullah Youssef. The forum will be concluded with a seminar discussion between professors and students about preparing scientific papers.
