The University of Bahrain Holds Graduation Ceremony for 500 Students of Business Administration and Islamic Banking at the College of Business Administration

The College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain celebrated the graduation of 574 students with bachelor’s degrees, on Wednesday January 25, 2023, as part of the graduation of the 24th batch of University of Bahrain students, which is being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister for (217/2018 – 2021/2022) batches.

 

The graduation ceremony, which was held in the morning, included 574 graduates of Business Administration, and 129 graduates of Islamic Banking and Finance, out of 2517 graduates of the College of Business Administration.

 

On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Business Administration, Prof. Hatem bin Mahmoud Al-Masri, gave a speech. Dr. Al-Masri spoke about the importance of knowledge and the challenges facing knowledge seekers. He said, “You should seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave. This will not be easy, as you will face challenges all the time. However, you have everything you need to achieve your goals. The future may seem particularly daunting, but you have everything you need not only to succeed, but to be happy.”

 

Dr. Al-Masri added, “The Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has many negative impacts on us, but it has also taught us important lessons. It has taught us that we need each other so much and that we live not to challenge people, but rather to help them.” He pointed out that no one can choose the world in which he is born, but he can choose the world to which he can contribute.”

 

The graduation speech was given by graduate Ali Hassan Abdulnabi Salman from the College of Business Administration. Salman expressed the graduates’ pride in studying at the University of Bahrain. He said, “We, the graduates of the College, are proud of the University of Bahrain, which is a great scientific edifice that graduates generations who contribute to the development and renaissance of this great country, thanks to the great and continuous efforts of the university, under the presidency of Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, to achieve the objectives of the University, for the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We have been supported by distinguished and qualified professors in all the administrative and academic fields, who spared no effort to carry out their noble mission honestly and efficiently.”

 

Hassan continued, “Our national university is still witnessing great developments in the academic programs, taking into account the requirements of the labor market and its need for highly qualified human resources. It has also strived to provide a modern scientific environment that serves students and contributes to increasing their academic achievement.”

 

The Vice President for Academic Programs and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammad Reda Qader and the Dean of the College of Information Technology handed over the graduation certificates to the graduates, at the university’s premises in Sakhir.

 

The University of Bahrain is holding 20 graduation ceremonies for its students registered in the festive program, on 19-29 January 2023, with two ceremonies a day, one in the morning and the other in the evening.

 

It is worthy to note that the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain was established in early 1986. In 2014, the College obtained local accreditation for its programs, and in 2016 it succeeded in ranking among the best 6% of business administration colleges in the world, after obtaining the most prestigious global accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
