The University of Bahrain Holds Graduation Ceremony for Students of the College of Applied Studies

The College of Applied Studies at the University of Bahrain celebrated the graduation of 378 male and female students with diploma and associate diploma degrees, on Wednesday January 25,2023, as part of the graduation ceremony for the 24th batch of university students, which is being held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and the Prime Minister, may God protect him, for (2017/2018 – 2020/2021) batches.

 

The graduation ceremony, held at the university’s premises in the presence of parents, included the graduation of 378 students from the College of Applied Education with Associate Diploma from various disciplines, including business administration, office management, accounting, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, network management, information systems, websites development, multimedia, and electronic security operations.

 

On this occasion, the Dean of the College of Applied Education at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Baqer, gave a speech. Dr. Baqer spoke on the University of Bahrain’s contributions to the development of education and community in the Kingdom of Bahrain. He said, “The university has sought to sustain its active role as a contributor to the development of the Bahraini citizen and community, as well as the economic and industrial renaissance that the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing today.”

 

Dr. Baqer added, “The University of Bahrain has instilled in its affiliates the love of science and work, honed their skills, and developed their ability to create and innovate. The graduates of the University of Bahrain are ambitious and determined to contribute to the Bahrain’s economic vision 2030, launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the king of the Kingdom of Bahrain, may God protect him.

 

Graduate Marwa Ibrahim Bubshait gave the graduation speech, in which she expressed the graduates’ pride in their university. Bubshait said, “We, the graduates of the College, are proud of the University of Bahrain, which is a great scientific edifice that graduates generations who contribute to the development and renaissance of this great country, thanks to the university’s great and continued efforts, under the presidency of Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, to achieve the University’s objectives, for the service of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We have been supported by distinguished and qualified professors in all the administrative and academic fields, who spared no effort to carry out their noble mission honestly and efficiently.”

 

The Vice President of the University for IT Services, Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, handed over the graduation certificates to graduates, in the presence of many invitees, at the university’s premises in Sakhir.

 

The University of Bahrain is holding 20 graduation ceremonies for its students, on 19-29 January 29, 2023, with two ceremonies per day, one in the morning and the other in the evening.

 

The College of Applied    Studies was established in 2005. It includes various applied academic programs, based on acquiring technical and applied expertise and skills in the fields of business administration, information technology, and engineering.
