College of Engineering at the University of Bahrain Commends Abdul Rahim Al-Kooheji Foundation’s Sponsorship of Graduation Projects Exhibition

The Dean of the College of Engineering, University of Bahrain, Dr. Shaikha Haifa bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, stressed the importance of the role played by civil society institutions in developing the education system through their support provided to the various programs. She noted the initiative of Abdul Rahim Al-Kooheji Foundation to sponsor graduation projects of College of Engineering students.
Abdul Rahem Al-Kooheji Foundation sponsored the graduation projects exhibition and presented awards for the best two projects in six programs of the College of Engineering. The awards were presented at the exhibition recently, held under the auspices of the President of the University, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al Mudhahka.
The students of the College of Engineering displayed 67 distinguished graduation projects in the exhibition. The projects were accomplished by 189 male and female students in the first semester, within six academic programs, namely mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, instrumentation and control engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and electronics engineering.
The Dean of the College of Engineering pointed out the role of awards in encouraging students and motivating them to exert more effort, to improve their graduation projects, and present them in a professional manner. She lauded the projects’ outputs, which were diverse and elaborate.
For his part, the Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Abdul Rahem Al-Kooheji Foundation, Eng. Abdul-Rahim Abdul Hameed Al-Kooheji, said the Foundation is keen to support the various programs of the University of Bahrain. He stressed graduation projects need to be supported, as they may help students establish commercial projects that contribute to employing citizens and strengthening Bahrain’s economy.
Al-Kooheji expressed his happiness with the levels of projects of the students who attempted to present innovative and creative ideas, through application of the engineering skills they have learned.
