Exploring Ways of Scientific and Research Cooperation Between the Two Universities University of Bahrain President Receives a Delegation from MBZUH

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, received a delegation from the Mohamed Bin Zayed University for Humanities (MBZUH) at the University’s headquarters in Sakhir, on Sunday (26 February 2023), where the two parties explored ways of possible cooperation in many scientific and research fields between the two universities.
The visiting delegation reviewed their university’s experience in offering a number of specialized courses, and gave the University a book titled “When the Classroom Door Closes”, which is a comprehensive guide for instructors to refer to before, during and after teaching, written by the Director of the Office of Quality and Institutional Effectiveness and Advisor to the University Chancellor, Dr. Karima Matar Almazroui.
Dr. Al-Mudhahka praised the role of MBZUH as a leading institution in higher education, and discussed with the delegation the promotion and development of academic, research and scientific cooperation, and the exchange of experiences, stressing the University’s tireless endeavor to create an educational environment that stimulates creativity and innovation, to provide students with skills that are compatible with the labor market needs.
Furthermore, the University President briefed the delegation on some of the University’s directions in the humanities, and discussed several aspects related to representing UoB abroad, and developing scientific and research relations.
For its part, the delegation stressed the vital role played by mutual visits between universities in developing scientific and cultural relations, especially between universities in the Arab Gulf states, pointing to the creation of broad scientific horizons, through the exchange of cultural opinions, knowledge experiences, and the production of joint scientific research between universities.
It is worth noting that the delegation visiting the office of the President of the University included: Director of the Office of Quality and Institutional Effectiveness and Advisor to the University Chancellor, Dr. Karima Matar Almazroui, Head of the Tolerance and Coexistence Department, Dr. Fatma Saif Al-Dahmani, and Head of the Procedures and Protocol Department, Rashid Musabah Al Menhali. While from UoB’s side, a number of members of the University Council and heads of departments in the College of Arts and the Bahrain Teachers College attended.
