Within The National Plan for The Advancement of Bahraini Women Community Service at UoB Trains Kindergarten Principals and Teachers

About 50 principals and teachers working in nurseries and kindergartens in the Kingdom of Bahrain participated in a training course organized by the Community Service and Continuing Education Center in cooperation with the Childhood Studies Center at the University of Bahrain (UoB). This course comes within the framework of the training program for kindergarten principals and teachers, and in implementation of the National Plan for the Advancement of Bahraini Women, to improve the conditions of female workers in nurseries and kindergartens.

The kindergarten teachers training program aims to provide teachers with knowledge, experience, skills, and professional competencies that include communication, ways to handle kids, and problem-solving in the field of child development, in addition to introducing them to health and safety conditions. The training program consists of 134 hours of training taught as training modules, in addition to 40 hours of field training.

In addition, the training program for principals of nurseries and kindergarten aims to provide female principals with professional, administrative and financial competencies, which include planning, supervision, follow-up, and evaluation skills, in addition to devising budgets and reports. The program consists of 147 training hours, in addition to 40 hours of field training, and the two programs are supervised by the Head of the Department of Psychology, Dr. Sheikha Al-Junaid.

The Center for Community Service and Continuing Education at UoB seeks to offer various programs and professional courses for the empowerment, growth and development of individuals, in order to serve the needs of the labor market.
