Celebrating the Bahraini Youth Day at UoB Dr. Al-Mudhahka Confirms Continued Support of its Students for Excellence and Creativity in Various Forums

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, affirmed that the University will continue its approach aimed at supporting students, in order to achieve more excellence and creativity in various local, regional and international forums, in which Bahraini youth participate, considering that the Bahraini Youth Day is an important opportunity to be proud of their achievements and what they have given for the sake of the Kingdom of Bahrain.

 

Dr. Al-Mudhahka addressed the University’s students at the Bahraini Youth Day ceremony, which was organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs, and said: “Bahraini youth receive great care from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, with vigorous follow-up and exceptional support from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to enhance their capabilities and optimally prepare them for building a bright future tomorrow.”.

 

In addition, Dr. Al-Mudhahka commended the achievements of the University’s students and their excellence in various fields, and noted that: “Our male and female students, have demonstrated high excellence by winning prestigious awards in all competitions and activities in which they participated in various fields: scientific, cultural, literary, artistic, and athletic, to add to the balance of the National University’s great achievements that demonstrate its position in our dear country”, and she believed that everyone is proud of these achievements, ensuring their continuation, in order to guarantee the achievement of lasting success and the development of this precious national experience.

 

In this context, she added: “The University of Bahrain – representing an academic, educational and youth edifice – is very proud of its young national competencies, whether through its distinguished graduates since the establishment of the National University, or through its current students, academic and administrative affiliates, and this pride keeps growing every day. As we see these wonderful national competencies achieving great accomplishments in all fields, occupying senior administrative positions, obtaining high academic degrees, and continuing the path of giving and dedication.”.

 

Furthermore, Dr. Mudhahka congratulated the Bahraini youth, on this occasion, and said: “We extend our best wishes and blessings to you. Wishing you further excellence, giving, and determination for the sake of our dear Bahrain.”.

 

For her part, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al-Maliki, said: “The celebration is the culmination of the efforts made by His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and His Highness’s many initiatives to advance the reality and future of Bahraini youth. As well as the contributions of His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Authority for Sports, President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, in raising the efficiency of young Bahraini athletes.”.

 

Dr. Al-Maliki mentioned that one of the most important goals of the Deanship of Student Affairs is to develop students’ skills in the sports, cultural and artistic fields, by providing a large area for student activity, through which many talents and capacities can be revealed, stressing that many of these youth capacities represented Kingdom of Bahrain in international and regional forums, adding that the University is keen to be one of the tributaries of excellence of the Bahraini youth.

 

In addition to the students, the celebration was attended by the vice-presidents of UoB and the University’s affiliates, and it had a student interaction by their participation in cultural competitions.
