President of the University of Bahrain receives the Chinese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Al-Mudhahka Reviews the Confucius Institute’s Rfforts in Facilitating Cultural Exchanges

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Ni Ruchi, coinciding with the United Nations celebration of the Chinese Language, on Thursday, April 20, 2023, to discuss bilateral cooperation and cultural exchange between the University of Bahrain and Shanghai University.

Dr. Al-Mudhahka stressed the importance of educational cooperation and cultural communication between the two universities, as part of the “Belt and Road Initiative” and Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030, reviewing the efforts of the Confucius Institute at UOB in facilitating cultural exchanges, providing Chinese language courses, and sponsoring various cultural activities.

The Chinese ambassador expressed his happiness with the warm reception, praising the role of the Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain in consolidating friendly relations between China and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and promoting cooperation and cultural and educational exchange.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Reda Qader, Vice President for Academic Programs and Graduate Studies, from the University of Bahrain.
