The President of UoB Receives the Chairman of The Board of Trustees and The President of ASU

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Jawaher bint Shaheen Al-Mudhahka, stressed the importance of a vital educational and research environment that supports innovation, in building the capabilities of youth cadres, and providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to face different challenges, engage smoothly in the labor market and contribute effectively to the comprehensive economic development of the Kingdom.

This came on Tuesday (May 16, 2023), during Dr. Al-Mudhahka’s welcoming of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Applied Science University (ASU), Prof. Waheeb Ahmed Al-Khaja, and University President, Prof. Dr. Ammar Kaka, to discuss strengthening partnership and academic cooperation between the two universities.

For his part, Prof. Al-Khaja, stated that scientific and research developments help Bahraini youth become creative and innovative, and to actively contribute to the economy and industry, in order to achieve comprehensive development, and in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The development of scientific and research relations, the exchange of experiences, and the relevant aspects were discussed.

From UoB, the meeting was attended by the Vice President for Information Technology Services and Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Osama Abdullah Al-Jowder, Vice President for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qader, and Assistant Professor at the College of Information Technology, Dr. Amal Mohammed Al-Rayes.
