Specify the Minors 

A service for specifying the minor for Arts, Science and Business Administration students was started on the Students’ Information System website (SIS) on the (Specify Minor and Specialization Request) options, whether for the first time or for the second time.

The method will include the following steps:

1- Log in to the student website (sis.uob.edu.bh).

2- Go to the “Specify Minor and Specialization Request” option, then click on the Add Request option.

3- Specifying the minor: If you want to choose one of the minors offered by the colleges and academic departments… select the minor that you want from the (Minor) box – with regard to the minors offered by the colleges and academic departments listed in the table below. Press the (Save) button.

*When the student has completed the application process, the application status (New) will appear for the student. After the required approval by the head of the specific department, the status of the application will be changed to (Approve).

4- Specifying the single track: If you want to choose a single track major, choose the major that you want from the (Major) box, click the (Save) button.

5- Students of Islamic Studies (Bachelor degree)

Students must choose this minor by following these steps:

         – Bachelor in Islamic Studies major (Sharia) with a minor: choose the major from the (Major) box, choose the minor from the (Minor), click the (Save) button.

          – Bachelor in Islamic Studies (Sharia) – Single:  choose the major from the (Major) box, click on the (Save) button.

           – Bachelor of Islamic Studies major (Fundamentals of Religion) with a minor:  choose the major from the (Major) box, choose the minor from the (Minor), click the (Save) button.

            – Bachelor of Islamic Studies major (Fundamentals of Religion)- single: choose the major from the (Major) box, click on the (Save) button.

6- Students of the B.Sc. in Biology:  choose the Minor (Such as: B.Sc. in Biology-Chemistry 2017) or the single Truck (such as: B.Sc. in Biology-Single) from the (Major) box, click on the (Save) button.

7- Students of the Bachelor’s Program in Tourism and the Bachelor’s Program in History: choose the specialization after selecting the minor from the

(Minor) box, choose the specialization from the “Specialization” field, click the “Save” button.

*The subspecialties offered by academic departments are listed in the table below.

8- Students’ choices will be approved by the head of each specific department during the registration period for the second semester .
