In Preparation for the “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” Competition, IT Professors and Students Learn about the “Kaggle” Platform

Several professors and students at the College of Information Technology, University of Bahrain learned about the uses of the “Kaggle” platform, during an online workshop organized by the College, in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE Computer Society), Kingdom of Bahrain branch, on Wednesday May 17, 2023. The Kaggle platform is a company of Google.

The workshop, which was moderated by the President of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Bahrain branch, Dr. Resala Abdullah Al-Adraj, aimed to provide ambitious programmers and those interested in artificial intelligence with practical knowledge on the effective use of the platform, and an opportunity for individuals interested in programming sciences to enhance their skills and knowledge.

The workshop was presented by the expert in artificial intelligence and the Sayg Foundation, Dr Shaikha Eshaa bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, who presented her experience and expertise on how to employ the platform’s applications, and benefit from the provided services and technical advantages.

Dr. Al-Adraj stated that students who won the first five places will receive valuable cash prizes provided by “Tamkeen”.

This workshop is part of the framework of preparations for organizing the third “Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning” programming competition for university students in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which will be organized by the University of Bahrain in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), branch of the Kingdom of Bahrain, sponsored by the Labor Fund (Tamkeen), on 14- 30 June 2023.
