The Cambridge University Press and Assessment hosted the Director of the English Language Center, Assistant Professor of the Department of English Language and Literature, College of Arts, University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Dana Abdullah Abdulrahim, in a webinar on digital learning.
The session was organized by the Foundation in collaboration with Times Higher Education magazine, under the title: “Humanizing Digital Learning: Strategies for Boosting Educational Outcomes.” Dr. Abdul Rahim said the panel discussion – which was recently held online- shed light on digital education, which has become an integral part of most – if not all – higher education institutions, with a wider variety of teaching, learning, and assessment methods available, and the importance of a “human-centered” approach to digital learning, to ensure that learners can achieve their full potential. In addition, a group of practicing experts in English language teaching and researchers interested in the field of higher education from different countries of the world participated in session, to exchange knowledge and share best practices on how digital learning tools contribute to creating stronger feedback links between teachers and students, to enhance the educational experience, and how personalized digital learning methods can target the unique needs of individual learners.
