The President of the University of Bahrain Stresses the Importance of Supporting and Protecting Students’ Innovations

The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, highly appreciated the efforts made by Bahrain Intellectual Property Society to protect intellectual property, patents and innovations, and lauded its role in sponsoring and supporting Bahraini youth. Dr. Al-Ansari stressed the importance of this role in encouraging youth to innovate.

 

Dr. Al-Ansari made this statement while receiving Bahrain Intellectual Property Society Chairperson, Asma Abdulaziz Al-Najdi, and members of the Board of Directors of the Society, at the University’s premises in Sakhir, on Wednesday June 7, 2023. The two parties discussed ways to promote cooperation between BIPS and UoB.

 

Dr. Al-Ansari lauded the efforts made by BIPS since its establishment in 2022. He stressed that the Society could, within a short period, occupy an important position to support and protect youth inventions and innovations. He noted the numerous and distinguished innovations and inventions of the students at the various colleges of the University of Bahrain.

 

The President of the University of Bahrain called on the Society to closely examine these innovations and inventions through student project exhibitions, which the University is keen to hold every semester.

 

For her part, Bahrain Intellectual Property Society Chairperson, Asma Abdulaziz Al-Najdi lauded the tremendous support provided by the University of Bahrain to students to encourage them to innovate and invent. She welcomed cooperation with the University to protect students’ intellectual rights and patents.
