The President of UoB and The Ambassador of Thailand Discuss Research Cooperation with Thai Universities

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, stressed the vital role played by diplomatic missions in developing scientific and cultural relations between countries, pointing to their role in facilitating understandings between universities to produce joint scientific research.

This came during  Dr. Al-Ansari’’s meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Piyapak Sricharoen, on Monday (July 10, 2023), at the University’s headquarters in Sakhir, where the University President welcomed the Thai ambassador, and discussed available means of cooperation in several areas, including: facilitating the process of concluding scientific and research agreements with Thai universities, and exchanging scientific experiences between UoB and the universities of the Kingdom of Thailand.

For his part, Ambassador Piyapak Sricharoen praised the UOB’s scientific and research role, stressing his keenness to enhance cooperation, and to strengthen and consolidate relations, in order to achieve the maximum possible scientific and research benefit with the universities of the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing his deep thanks and appreciation to the President of the University for the warm welcome and hospitality, and wishing him success in his new position and presidency of the University, as well as his new vision aimed at developing university education.

The meeting was also attended by the first secretary at the embassy, Benbecha Thamasit Boonloi.
