Vice President for Academic Programs at the University of Bahrain Discusses Promoting Academic Collaboration with Shanghai University

The Vice President of the University of Bahrain for Academic Programs and Postgraduate Studies and Bahraini Director of the Confucius Institute, Dr. Mohammed Reda Qader, stressed the Confucius Institute’s key role in teaching the Chinese language and informing its affiliates of Chinese customs, culture, history and traditions, and strengthening relations and ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Peoples’ Republic of China.

 

During his visit to Shanghai University, Dr. Qader met Vice President of Shanghai University, Ou Yang Hua. The two parties lauded the fruitful outcomes of exchange and collaboration between the two universities, particularly the positive contribution of the Confucius Institute in promoting cultural exchange between the two countries. They stressed the need to enhance the student and faculty members’ exchange and research collaboration in disciplines of common interest.

 

Dr. Qader toured the colleges of Shanghai University, stressing that the University provides many academic and research opportunities and unique experiences in the local and international engineering, technological, social, and cultural fields. He visited the School of Management, the School of Science, the School of Economics, the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, the Shanghai Film Academy, and SILC Business School, to learn about the educational system there. He also visited the graduate exhibition at the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts.
