Including A Master’s Degree in Law and Sports Management and A Diploma in Midwifery and Obstetrics UoB Offers Three New Postgraduate Programs Dr. Al-Ansari: Postgraduate Studies Are the Gateway to Developing Scientific Research and Keeping Pace with Its Rapid Development

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB) confirmed that the University continues its policy of expanding qualitative postgraduate programs that open wide knowledge horizons for those wishing to continue specialized studies and help intensify scientific research that provides innovative solutions to societal problems.
The UoB President, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, underlined the University’s keenness to offer specialized specializations for researchers in postgraduate studies through the solid scientific research they carry out, stressing that the University considers postgraduate studies as a gateway to the development of scientific research, and a way to keep pace with its rapid movement.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Ansari said that the University continues to offer qualitative postgraduate programs, as it has done in the past few years, announcing the launch of three new programs: Master’s in Law and Sports Management, Master’s in Science in Transformation of Sustainable Energy Systems, and Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery and Obstetrics, explaining that these three programs raise the number of UoB’s postgraduate to 43 academic programs.
The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies at the University had previously announced that it would continue to receive applications for enrollment in postgraduate programs for the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024, until 20 August 2023, through the Student Information Management website.
For the next semester, UoB is offering 43 programs in various disciplines in seven colleges, with 34 master’s programs, seven doctoral programs, and two higher diploma programs.
The Deanship of Postgraduate Studies announced that applications were opened for postgraduate programs last May, stating that the first batch of applicants was recently interviewed for admission at the University, and that more interviews are expected to be conducted for the applicants soon.
Postgraduate programs included seven colleges at the University, as the College of Information Technology offers a master’s program in: information technology, cybersecurity, software engineering, machine learning and smart computing, and a doctorate program in computing and information sciences.
While the College of Engineering offers master’s degrees in each of: chemical engineering, civil engineering, engineering management, science in renewable energy engineering, science in artificial intelligence systems, science in electrical power systems engineering, architecture, master’s in science in communications and network engineering, and engineering of sustainable energy transformation systems. At the doctoral level, the College of Engineering offers doctorates in chemical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, and architecture.
In addition, the College of Science offers seven master’s programs in: applied physics, mathematics, environment and sustainable development, life sciences, big data science and analysis, environmental chemistry, and a higher diploma in weather forecasting.
The College of Business Administration announced offering master’s degrees in each of business administration, human resources management, finance, accounting, Islamic banking and finance, financial technology, real estate development and property management.
As for the College of Arts, it offers a higher diploma and master’s degree in Arabic language and literature, a master’s degree in media and communication, a higher diploma and a master’s degree in applied studies in English, and a higher diploma and master’s degree in family counseling.
The College of Law offers Masters in public law, private law, and Doctor of Philosophy in public law and private law, while the College of Health and Sports Sciences offers master’s in adult health nursing, and a postgraduate diploma in midwifery and obstetrics.
