UoB Announces Admission Results for Students on Waiting Lists

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, confirmed that the University continues to accept students applying for admission based on competitiveness, announcing that the list of admitted students for the next academic year 2023/2024, who were on the waiting lists, has been approved.
The admission results include the students on waiting lists who have chosen the academic programs they wish to enroll in during the period from July 20th to August 3rd 2023, who must go through the admission confirmation process and pay tuition fees in the period from the 8th to 12th of August 2023, if they still wish to join UoB.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Ansari stated: “The admission process is based on competitiveness, by relying on the cumulative averages from secondary school, and the colleges’ admission requirements, according to the seats available and the programs capacity”, stressing that “All students have the opportunity to join their chosen majors equally, based on their secondary school GPAs.”.
The President of the University called on the recently admitted students to read UOB’s rules and regulations, and to abide by the dates set for admission confirmation, to take advantage of the available seats. He also congratulated them on their admission to the university level, which paves the way for them to enter the labor market, stressing the importance of going through this experience with eagerness and passion to achieve the best results.
For her part, the Dean of Admission and Registration, Dr. Amal Zayed Ibrahim Al-Zayed, stressed the need for students to confirm admission and pay fees by entering https://usis.uob.edu.bh, noting that it would be possible for those wishing to change the academic program to enter the website again (usis.uob.edu.bh), and select (Post Admission Service) to select 3 majors – within the same confirmation period – as applications will be considered after the admission confirmation period ends, according to available seats in the programs.
Regarding the steps to confirm admission, Dr. Al-Zayed stated that students must first: review the student’s pledge, verify the personal number, the student’s name, and nationality, and to enter the link to the University’s study rules and regulations, and if the student has a disability, he will have to specify the type of disability, while the rest of the students must choose “other”. Secondly, they must specify whether the parents or one of them, are university graduates or not, and indicate the highest educational degree they have. Third: They must view the admission letter, the program they were admitted into, the study period in the preliminary program, and some important instructions. The fourth step: review the instructions for paying tuition fees. Finally, the fifth step: pay tuition fees.
The Dean of Admission and Registration stressed that the application for admission shall be considered canceled if the student does not confirm his approval on the scheduled date. Regarding scholarship students, they will be able to print the admission letter through the website and submit it to the scholarship authority.
As for those accepted in the College of Applied Studies, Dr. Al-Zayed said they will be able to transfer upon fulfilling one of two conditions: either passing the first semester of the Associate Diploma Program with a GPA of no less than 3.5 out of 4.00, provided that 12 credit hours are completed, or successfully passing the Associate Diploma Program with a GPA of no less than 3.00 out of 4.00.
