The University of Bahrain Holds the Data Analytics Conference in its Fourth Edition Next October

The University of Bahrain is to organize the fourth edition of the virtual global conference, “Data Analytics for Economy and Industry”, in collaboration with the Bahrain International Group (Informs Bahrain International Group) in late October.
The President of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, stressed that the university adopts data analytics sciences in its strategies as an effective tool to create innovative ways to invest, and keep pace with the digital transformation to develop the economy. He noted that the university is working, through its activities and events, to support national visions regarding the creation of knowledge-based economy for optimal use of data.
For her part, the Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Athraa Sayed Abbas Al-Mousawi, stressed that the Deanship seeks to hold scientific activities with local and international partnerships, to promote innovations, through scientific research. She pointed out that the conference organized by the Deanship of Scientific Research and Postgraduate Studies at the university shall discuss several important topics related to big data and recent trends in it, including improvements in big data, business intelligence, supply management, quality control and reliability, artificial intelligence for business and industry, and other topics.
The conference, which is to be held on Wednesday and Thursday October 25-26, 2023, is co-organized by the College of Science, the College of Information Technology, the College of Business Administration, and the College of Engineering, given the by the diversity of its disciplines, which fall under different sciences and majors.
The conference will host two key speakers, namely Development and Implementation of Complex Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Projects and Transformations at Ernst & Young (EY) Middle East and North Africa, Dr. Eva Marie Müller Stoller, Data and Artificial Intelligence practice leader, who was selected as one of the best data scientists in 2021, and CEO of the Human Capital Management System in the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Al-Shammari, whose research efforts focus on the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning technologies, data analytics techniques, and strategies related to the workforce, for transition from the economy of oil and natural gas to an economy based on renewable energy.
Participants shall also discuss data analytics, information visualization, insurance statistics, artificial intelligence for business and industry, mining data, data science, cloud computing, business analytics, pattern recognition, women in data science, data science applications, image analysis and sectional imaging, e-commerce, risk analysis, security analysis, financial analytics, project management, statistics in information technology industries, energy systems and efficiency, statistical and financial modeling, bioinformatics and sound policy making.
Dr. Al-Musawi added that the first edition of the conference was launched in 2020 and discussed data analytics. “The event was well received by academians and postgraduate students, as well as the local and international data analytics specialists. The conference succeeded in its second and third editions, respectively. “The conference has become an international research platform attracting researchers, data scientists, business managers and industry practitioners from all over the world who share the same visions of the future to build what is known as the data-based economy.” She said.
