Launch of the Fifth Sustainability Conference at UoB at The End of Next December Dr. Al-Ansari: Scientific Research Is Simulated to Find Sustainable Solutions to Various Challenges

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, stressed the importance of searching for sustainable solutions to the issues of energy technology and sustainable industrialization, in order to achieve luxury living, calling for the employment of technology and artificial intelligence in facing modern challenges in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
This came in a statement made by Dr. Al-Ansari, within the framework of UoB’s preparations to launch the fifth edition of the annual Sustainability and Resilience Conference (SRC’23), titled: ” Sustainability and Resilience Conference: Energy and Industry 4.0 ” (the Fourth Industrial Revolution), to be held from the 27th to 28th of December 2023, via cyberspace.
“The Sustainability Conference is one of the conferences that the University is proud of, and is keen to hold, in order to provide an environment that enhances cultural and knowledge exchange, and academic and intellectual progress, especially regarding the fields of technology, innovation and energy,” Dr. Al-Ansari stated, explaining that the University has worked and is still working to advance academic research to reach new levels.
The Conference seeks to attract academics, students and interested individuals from all over the world to participate in the discussion and presentation sessions, which aim to raise awareness on the importance of sustainable development, and the search for sustainable and innovative solutions, to achieve sustainable development in the fields of energy technology and industry.
For her part, Dr. Athraa Sayed Abbas Al-Mosawi, Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research at UoB, said: “The Conference provides unprecedented opportunities for communication, discussion and cooperation in the fields of technology and sustainability, and the creation of the fourth revolution, which contributes to linking academic aspects with practical practices, with the aim of achieving sustainable development across sectors.”.
Moreover, Dr. Al-Mosawi revealed that the Conference is hosting a group of experts and researchers in the fields of sustainable manufacturing, energy technology, industrial innovations, electronic economy, and data analysis in the fields of sustainable energy. As recent research and innovations in the areas of renewable energy integration, smart systems, and other leading topics will be presented. She also added that the Conference includes a wide range of topics related to the inclusion of smart energy systems, such as integrating renewable energy, energy storage technology, energy efficiency such as smart buildings and energy-saving systems, technology of Industry 4.0 for sustainable manufacturing, innovative economic models, and other related fields.
Furthermore, she stressed that the Conference aims to provide a global platform for communication and cooperation between participants in all areas related to sustainability, energy and Industry 4.0, as well as enhancing cooperation and exchange of knowledge to build a sustainable future that is resistant to challenges. Also, it attracts academics, students, and interested individuals from all over the world to participate in the discussion and presentation sessions, which aim to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable development, and the search for sustainable and innovative solutions, to achieve sustainable development in the fields of energy technology and industry.
Dr. Al-Mosawi indicated that registration for the Conference will be open until the date of the Conference, and noted that the last date for sending complete scientific papers will be on Tuesday (31 October 2023).
It is worth noting that the Conference is held in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Bahrain branch, and it will host a group of experts and researchers in the fields of sustainable manufacturing, energy technology, industrial innovations, electronic and financial economics, and data analysis in the fields of sustainable energy.
