Dr. Al-Ansari: Technical Tools Are Necessary to Provide Distinguished University Education and Pioneering Scientific Research The President of UoB Honors Students and Professors Excelling In E-Learning

The President of the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, honored distinguished faculty members and students in the field of e-learning and distance education, and called on them to continue development and creativity in the field of e-learning, and to exchange expertise, ideas and experiments in this field.
The honoring ceremony was held in the E-Learning Center building in Sakhir, in the presence of vice presidents, college deans, department heads, and a number of faculty members and students.
The ceremony included honoring four categories from all the University’s colleges, namely: the category of distinguished professors in using the Ally feature to improve access to content, with 27 professors, the category of professors with the most interactive courses in the e-learning system with 9 professors, the category of distinguished professors, and the category of distinguished students in their interaction with the electronic learning system, with 3 professors and 3 students.
In his speech during the ceremony, Dr. Al-Ansari spoke to the honorees, saying: “Your excellence is an achievement that the National University is proud of, and will remain a goal that we strive to achieve together throughout our journey in this distinguished university.”.
The university’s President of the University pointed to the rich process witnessed by the University, as the use of e-learning tools was an available option to achieve certain goals, while employing modern technologies today has become a necessity to achieve the University’s vision that seeks to provide distinguished university education, pioneering scientific research, and effective community service.
Dr. Al-Ansari praised the efforts of the E-Learning Center at the University, which made distinguished achievements in a short period, stressing the role of the Center in drawing up strategic plans, ambitious goals, and clear solutions, in addition to overcoming difficulties and overcoming challenges, to provide a successful and smooth educational experience.
For her part, Director of the E-Learning Center, Dr. Sheikha Fai bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, pointed out the importance of e-learning in building a more comprehensive educational environment and improving the education experience of all students, including those with special needs.
The honoring ceremony was organized by the E-Learning Center, to encourage teachers and students to have more positive interaction, and in appreciation of their time and effort in developing their electronic courses on Blackboard. The Center is scheduled to hold a ceremony to honor distinguished faculty members and students each semester.
