Presenting historical monuments and knowledge from successive civilizations to the Kingdom UoB Students observe the “Features of Bahrain’s Civilization” Exhibition

The exhibition “Features of Bahrain’s Civilization”, held at the University of Bahrain, witnessed a distinguished student presence and interaction, who reviewed a great deal of information and antiquities of historical value.
The exhibition, organized by the Department of Social Sciences at the College of Arts, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) , included a variety of displays from the history of successive civilizations on the land of Bahrain.
The Dean of the College of Arts, Dr. Abdul Aziz Mohammed Bulela, praised holding such cultural and social activities, owing to their positive aspects in consolidating the identity and belonging of the Bahraini people, and in developing cultural knowledge among students. Dr. Bulela said the exhibition succeeded in achieving its objectives by attracting many students. Dr. Bulela opened the exhibition in the lobby of the College of Arts, and then visited the exhibition to view key features of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s civilization in different eras.
On her part, the Head of the Department of Social Sciences, Dr. Mooza Isa Al-Doy, said: “The exhibition comes within the framework of activating the principle of community and cultural partnership between the University of Bahrain and the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.” She noted that the exhibition aims to introduce students to the Kingdom of Bahrain’s heritage and civilization through submitting a number of texts, short videos, and photos on historical archaeological sites.
For his part, the Director of the Department of Antiquities and Museums at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Dr. Salman Ahmed Al-Mahari, explained that the exhibition was a success and received great approval from professors and students of the University of Bahrain, as visitors closely viewed landmarks and monuments from different periods of the history of the Kingdom of Bahrain. He pointed out that the exhibition was organized in several commercial centers earlier and is being moved to the squares and courtyards of educational institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
