The University of Bahrain and the Arab Open University Sign a Memorandum of Cooperation in Academic Fields, Exchanging Experiences, and Promoting Scientific Research

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, and Dr. Ghurmallah bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi, President of the Arab Open University, signed a memorandum of understanding between the two universities for cooperation in academic fields, exchanging experiences, and promoting scientific research.

 

The memorandum of understanding provides cooperation in areas of exchanging academic experiences and external examiners for review of academic programs, enhancing training and professional development, and organizing workshops and training courses for the academic and administrative staff. In addition, it aims to promote scientific research, implement joint research projects, organize and host international conferences and local seminars, support student activity, and enhance cooperation between student artistic, cultural, and sports clubs.

 

Dr. Al-Ansari stressed that UoB is keen to strengthen partnerships to reach the best educational outcomes in line with efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. He explained that cooperation with AOU is in the interest of the two universities, through exchange of academic expertise and mutual benefit in the fields of training and scientific research.

 

For his part, Dr. Al Ghamdi lauded UoB academic and scientific expertise, stressing the importance of benefiting from the University’s experience in training and student activity, in a manner that would achieve both universities’ aspirations.
