The University of Bahrain Graduates the First Batch of its Master’s Program in “Adult Health Nursing”

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain, announced the graduation of 12 male and female students from the Master’s Program in “Adult Health Nursing” as the first batch and the first program of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Al-Ansari praised the graduates who obtained a license from the National Health Regulatory Authority to practice the profession of Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs).
For her part, Dr. Lina Mohammed Khunji, Dean of the College of Health and Sport Sciences, University of Bahrain, stressed the importance of the “Adult Health Nursing” major. Dr. Khunji noted that the graduates underwent comprehensive training in the field of adult health nursing, and passed 500 hours of clinical training, in addition to theoretical study of various health care cases, including critical, emergency, and internal care.
Dr. Khunji added that graduates acquired advanced skills throughout the program in which they analyzed and evaluated health cases, applied advanced nursing practices, including direct clinical care, training and mentoring the nursing team in the units, consulting experts to provide the best nursing care, clinical and professional leadership, collaboration with work teams, and skills of making ethical decisions and evidence-based practice to keep pace with developments in health care in light of contemporary health challenges.
Dr. Khunji praised graduates’ outstanding contributions to research studies and scientific publication in journals classified within “Scopes”. She stressed students’ excellence in analyzing and studying complex health issues that open new horizons for contemplation and innovation in the field of health care at the local and global levels.
