College of Arts at UOB organizes a cultural program with 7 scientific seminars

The Cultural and Social Committee of the College of Arts at the University of Bahrain announced the organization of seven scientific seminars within its cultural program for the second semester of the academic year 2023/2024, noting that the program focuses on activating the College’s role in achieving cultural sustainability and innovation industry.
Two seminars were organized, one on Arabic language and cultural sustainability, and the other “A Reading of the Bahraini-British Treaties 1820-1971”.
The third seminar, scheduled to be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, will discuss “The Biography of Bahraini Pearls: Cultural History and Sustainability Pathways” with the participation of six speakers from inside and outside the university, while the fourth seminar will review the topic of “Documentary Filmmaking and Cultural Innovation” with the participation of four speakers from academics and experts, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
The fifth seminar will be an honoring event celebrating the critical and creative achievement of Prof. Alawi Al Hashemi, on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, while the sixth seminar on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, will discuss the topic of “Psychology, Cultural Sustainability and Creating the Future: Experiences and Applications”.
The seventh and final seminar of the cultural program will review the topic of translation, cultural sustainability and the promotion of cultural diversity, on the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
