Department of Islamic Banking at UOB Introduces its Students to Takaful Insurance

The Department of Islamic Banking at the College of Business Administration at the University of Bahrain hosted the speaker Mustafa Al Mahmood, Internal Sharia Auditor and Compliance at Solidarity Bahrain, on Tuesday (21 May 2024) in a lecture titled “Introduction to Takaful Insurance”.

The speaker reviewed the definition of Takaful insurance, which is in line with the provisions of Islamic Sharia, and the fundamental differences between Takaful (Islamic) and conventional (commercial) insurance.

The interactive dialogue was moderated by Dr. Abdulhameed Darwish from the Department of Islamic Banking at the College of Business Administration, who stressed that this lecture comes within a series of initiatives held by the department to attract experts and specialists to introduce students to the practical aspects and specializations in the labor market.
