UOB Wins the Global Catalyst Award 2024

The University of Bahrain (UOB) has won the 2024 Catalyst Award in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging category, which is presented by Anthology, the global supplier of e-learning systems.

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of UOB, confirmed that this victory reflects the University’s pioneering role in technology employment to provide a comprehensive and innovative educational experience, highlighting its commitment to achieving comprehensive and advanced education.

Moreover, Al-Ansari added that UOB was selected among 35 winners in the award’s nine categories, for providing an exceptional educational experience and promoting innovation and excellence in education, in an incomparable achievement that enhances its position on the global stage.

Furthermore, he explained that the Award highlights UOB’s role as a leader in utilizing technology to enhance education, by integrating modern and advanced tools into e-learning systems, as these tools help improve the learning experience, make it more interactive and comprehensive, and encourage educational institutions to adopt comprehensive and innovative educational practices.

It is worth noting that 108 candidates applied for the Award from various educational institutions from 19 countries around the world, and the Award included nine different categories: Assessment & Institutional Effectiveness, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Institutional Advancement, Leading Change, Student Experience, Student Success, Teaching & Learning, and Training and Professional Development.

In addition, UOB won the “Excellence in Innovation” award in 2022, which is launched annually by Anthology.
