UOB and Lancaster University Discuss Enhancing Academic and Research Cooperation

Dr. Fuad Mohammed Al-Ansari, President of the University of Bahrain (UOB), received Professor Marwan Izzeldin, Assistant Dean of International Partnerships and Professor of Financial Econometrics at the College of Management at Lancaster University in the United Kingdom, to discuss enhancing academic and research cooperation.

Dr. Al-Ansari stressed the importance of consolidating cooperative relations with international universities, and enhancing cooperation in various fields, in order to develop performance and improve the quality of education.

For his part, Professor Izzeldin noted the importance of joint scientific initiatives, and their role in strengthening cooperative relations between the two parties, to achieve their common goals in supporting higher education and scientific research.

The two parties discussed cooperation opportunities in the areas of faculty members and students exchange, implementation of joint programs and research, and activating the memorandum of understanding for academic and cultural cooperation that was signed between the two universities last March.
