New Milestone! Confucius Institute Sets a Record with 666 Enrolled Students!

The Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain celebrated a historic achievement—this spring semester, a total of 666 students have enrolled in 15 CHL101 (Chinese Level 1) classes and 3 CHL102 (Chinese Level 2) classes, setting a new record in the institute’s 10-year history!
This remarkable milestone not only highlights the growing influence of Chinese language education at the University of Bahrain but also marks a new chapter in China-Bahrain cultural exchange.
To commemorate this achievement, the Confucius Institute held a small celebration, with Director Zhou Jian and all faculty members witnessing this special moment. A custom-made cake symbolized the institute’s growth and success.
The celebration coincided with the Lantern Festival on February 12, making the event even more meaningful. Teachers and students enjoyed tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings) and participated in lantern riddles, sharing the joy of this traditional festival while embracing the Confucius Institute’s continued success.
