OVERVIEW
The Security and Safety Department is one of the most important and essential departments in the National University, as it is the safety valve for the University’s visitors. The Security and Safety Department at the University of Bahrain is one of the most efficient entities in terms of personnel and modern security services prepration and efficiency, which is the result of the great interest it receives from the administration of the University of Bahrain by providing a safe environment and safety means in all facilities and properties of the University in all its branches, in cooperation with the various agencies in the Kingdom.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issuance and follow-up of permits of all kinds for employees, students and visitors.
- Issue the necessary licenses related to security and occupational safety matters.
- Provide security and occupational safety advice to the concerned parties inside the University campus.
- Deal with traffic accidents inside the University campus.
- Guard the campus and its facilities and facilite and secure the entry and exit process for all its visitors.
- Destroy the papers and documents that the University intends to destory.
- Provide and maintain the necessary safety devices and equipment and supervise their use.
- Coordinate with other departments to provide the necessary training and instructions to spread awareness and knowledge on occupational health and safety issues (such as training courses, fake evacuation schemes, awareness lectures, …).
- Receive and deliver lost items found inside the University campus.
