A Professor at UoB Discusses Supporting Digital Entrepreneurs in the Kingdom
Assistant Professor at the Department of Information Systems at the University of Bahrain (UoB), Dr. Noora Hasan Al-Ghatam, discussed the importance of “Cooperation to Support Digital Entrepreneurs in the Kingdom of Bahrain”, during the conference “The Impact of Information Technology on Development”, which was organized by the International Federation for Information Processing on Friday (28 May 2021).
Dr. Al-Ghatam reviewed the role played by various sectors in the Bahrain Model Team in creating and managing the (Startup Bahrain) platform, to form a community of entrepreneurs to build efficiency and growth and communicate with international experts, in order to spread advanced concepts and create a new concept of entrepreneurship leading to sustainable development.
It is worth noting that Startup Bahrain is a digital platform and a data and information base for entrepreneurs, investors, exclusive companies and relevant institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The participants in the Conference discussed ways of cooperation through digital platforms between developed and developing countries, e-commerce, and e-health systems, in addition to the formation of a community of entrepreneurs, communicating with international experts to spread advanced concepts, and finding a new concept of entrepreneurship that could lead to sustainable development.
