A UoB Student Participates in the Second Oman Youth Ship Within the Expo 2020 Dubai

A student from the University of Bahrain (UoB) is participating in a youth group on the second Oman Youth Ship, which departed from the Sultanate of Oman on Sunday (7 November 2021), as part of the Sultanate of Oman’s activities in Expo Dubai 2020, under the patronage of the Crown Prince of the Sultanate of Oman, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, His Highness Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said.

The student, Yousef Ahmed Jad, who is a second-year student in Radio and Television in the Department of Media, Tourism and Arts at the College of Arts, will spend a whole month on the trip, after meeting its participation conditions and criteria.

As 30 male and female students from a number of universities in the Gulf Cooperation Council, and a number of European universities, from Germany, Hungary and Croatia, will participate in the trip. The ship will be roaming the sea from one Gulf country to another, so that young people can participate in several educational, cultural and tourism programs, in cooperation with the Omani Navy.

Also, a farewell party was held for the trip, which was under the slogan “Oman, a Renewed Approach”, at Port Sultan Qaboos, on the marine road in Wilayat Muttrah, and the ceremony was broadcasted live on the Sultanate of Oman TV.

The ship is scheduled to arrive in the Kingdom of Bahrain, on Tuesday (16 November 2021), and a cultural tour will be held simultaneously in the Kingdom of Bahrain for the delegation of the Royal Navy of Oman, organized by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
