Academic promotions for faculty members are associated with the main objectives for which the University of Bahrain was established. These objectives include spreading, developing, and devoting knowledge to community service. Academic promotions aim to raise the academic and research efficiency of the faculty member. The most important tasks of UoB Academic Promotion Committee include assessing performance of faculty members for their overall scientific, research and teaching activities and taking part in university and community service, in accordance with the university’s academic standard criteria.
