Adapting the Camera Is Crucial for Successful Photographs
Lecturer at the College of Arts, Saeed Mansoor Abdullah, stated that the success of the photograph depends on the photographer’s ability to harness his eyes and mind and control the camera to implement human ideas and present them to the public through images bearing the implications of his human identity.
Abdullah believed that the photographer must learn to read the images in all their meanings and connotations, in addition to the technical aspects of the specifications of the successful photo, and after mastering all of this, the culture of the image will be presented with its true content, attempting to teach everyone how to read the photo in its general sense, through the establishment of personal and public exhibitions, and by displaying the photos in newspapers and magazines, in addition to all kinds of visual, written and electronic media. The lecturer reviewed types of photography, types of digital cameras, types of lenses, shooting modes, and professional photography standards.
As the lecturer and the photographic artist was lecturing in a workshop organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs at the University of Bahrain (UoB) on “The Basics of Digital Photography”, in which a number of the University students from various disciplines participated, and it was part of the Future Leaders Program.
