The University of Bahrain announced the start of receiving applications for admission to postgraduate programs for the first semester of the academic year 2022/2023, noting that the application process will take place through the University’s website https://sis.uob.edu.bh and will continue until Saturday 13th of August.
For the next semester, UoB offers 43 programs in various disciplines, with 34 master’s programs and nine doctoral programs.
The Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Athraa Sayed Abbas Al-Mosawi, said: “The postgraduate studies are considered an opportunity for those wishing to continue their studies, as the university offers programs that are attractive to the labor market and the region as a whole,” pointing to “carefully and meticulously developed study plans, according to the latest contemporary scientific programs that keep pace with the requirements of the labor market”.
Dr. Al-Mosawi pointed out that the national university is proud of its faculty members, who have high qualifications and extensive experience in the field of graduate programs and scientific research, pointing at the same time to the availability of the finest educational and technical means to support the teaching process, in addition to the availability of databases, sources, and books, in various fields of knowledge.
The postgraduate programs included seven colleges at the University, where the College of Information Technology offers a master’s program in information technology, cyber security, software engineering, machine learning and intelligent computing, and a PhD program in computing and information sciences.
The College of Engineering offers master’s degrees in chemical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering management, sciences in renewable energy, sciences in artificial intelligence systems, and architecture, and a master of science in communications and networks engineering. At the doctoral level, the College of Engineering offers a PhD in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering management, and electrical engineering.
The College of Science offers a master’s degree in applied physics, mathematics, nutrition and dietetics, environment and sustainable development, life sciences, big data analysis, and environmental chemistry. It also offers a PhD in Environment and Sustainable Development, and a Higher Diploma in Meteorology.
The College of Business Administration announced the offering of a master’s degree in business administration, human resources management, finance, accounting, finance and Islamic banking, financial technology, real estate development and property management, in addition to a PhD in business analysis (management, marketing, finance, and Islamic banking).
As for the College of Arts, it offers a higher diploma and a master’s degree in Arabic language and literature, a master’s degree in media and communication, a higher diploma and a master’s degree in applied English language studies, and a higher diploma and a master’s degree in family counseling.
The Faculty of Law offers a master’s degree in public law, private law, and a PhD in public and private law.
The College of Health and Sports Sciences offers a master’s degree in adult health nursing.
The Dean instructed those wishing to register to go through the website: https://sis.uob.edu.bh/ and to view the terms of enrollment. The Dean called on those wishing to enroll in one of the postgraduate studies programs to enter the page of the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research on the University’s website, where they will find the information and explanations they need about the programs, pointing out the need for students to know the laws and regulations and choose the program that fits their specialization.
