Anthology Awards the University of Bahrain “Excellence in Innovation”

Anthology, the global supplier of e-learning systems, awarded the University of Bahrain “Excellence in Innovation”, which is granted annually by the company, as UoB outperformed many universities in the region. Specialist at the University’s E-Learning Center, Houria Hassan Al-Madani, received the award in a ceremony held in the United Arab Emirates.

 

The Director of the E-Learning Center at UoB, Dr. Sheikha Fay bint Abdullah Al Khalifa, explained that Anthology organizes an annual conference to honor distinguished members in several categories, noting that the company lauded the successive initiatives that the E-Learning Center constantly carries out.

 

Dr. Sheikha Fay bint Abdullah Al Khalifa stated, “This award is the outcome of tireless efforts exerted to improve the e-learning and distance education system at the University of Bahrain through regularly adding new features and programs in the learning management system and the continuous efforts to educate users of the faculty and students about the advantages of using such features.”

 

Dr. Fay pointed out, “Tools enhancing the educational process include accessibility improvement, information analysis systems, etc.” She expressed her pride of this achievement amid fierce competition between many universities in the region and worldwide.

 

Regarding the factors that helped the University of Bahrain win this award, Dr Fay referred, “In its letter to the University, Anthology lauded the continuous efforts of the University of Bahrain to improve the e-learning system and pointed out that achievements of the University make it a leader at both the regional and international levels.”

 

It is worthy to note that the University of Bahrain adopts the Blackboard Learning Management System as a university platform connected to all electronic educational means so that the students and teachers can have access to e-learning and distance education through this platform.
