Application of Preceptorship Program

College of health sciences, nursing department completed training of 170 registered nurses from all health sectors in Ministry of Health and king Hamad University Hospital in the Preceptorship Training Program. On 24th October 2018 College of Health Sciences, nursing department held an orientation session for all involved parties teaching 2nd year nursing course from preceptors, preceptees and faculty for the practical implementation of the preceptorship program as a pilot study before its application for all the nursing courses in the 2nd semester. The event was presided over by the Dean Dr. Aamal Akleh Welcomed the gathering and appreciated the cooperation between Ministry of Health, King Hamad University Hospital with college of Health Sciences, UOB .Ms. Seddiqa Ali Abbas , Acting Head of the Nursing Department inspired the gathering with her speech and thanked the Co-coordinators of the preceptorship program Ms. Amaal al Sabbagh , Ms .Tuqa Jameel and the nursing course coordinator Ms. Nirmala for their valuable contribution . Followed by a brief reminder about policies of the preceptorship program by preceptorship coordinator, finally the nursing course coordinator oriented the group of preceptors and preceptees about the clinical objectives and the mastery requirements of the course. The web links for different course evaluation were handed over to the group .at the end of the gathering each preceptor met with their preceptees and oriented them to their assigned clinical areas in friendly atmosphere.
