At the invitation of Huawei Bahrain, Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain Holds a Chinese Cultural Lecture with “Seeds for the Future” Program

The Director of the Confucius Institute from the Chinese side, at the University of Bahrain, Dr. Qianwen Zhou, and a team of teachers participated in the annual educational program aimed at developing local talents “Seeds for the Future 2022”. She stressed that the cultural exchange and collaboration between the Confucius Institute and Huawei will greatly contribute to the development of the friendship between the peoples of China and Bahrain within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative.
Huawei, which is specialized in information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices, had launched the program “Seeds for the Future 2022” in the Kingdom of Bahrain under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs and the Ministry of Labor.
The program was attended by the Director of Public Relations at Huawei Bahrain, Lee Hyun, the Director of Human Resources, Wang Liang, and more than 50 distinguished ICT students from various universities in Bahrain, 25% of whom were University of Bahrain students.
The Director of the Confucius Institute stated that Institute is working to promote educational and cultural exchanges and collaboration between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the People’s Republic of China. The Director of Public Relations at Huawei Bahrain, Lee Hyun, stressed that Huawei is committed to recruiting talents from all over the world, and that understanding and learning Chinese culture is a project that Chinese foreign companies need to focus on.
Mr. Lee Hyun expressed his gratitude to the teachers of the Confucius Institute at the University of Bahrain, and presented them with a commemorative shield for their participation in the program. He stressed that he is looking forward to continuing to strengthen collaboration and communication to promote Chinese culture as the institute, through its participation in the Huawei “Seeds for the Future” program, contributed to strengthening communication between the Chinese and Bahraini people, and helped some Bahraini youth to understand Chinese culture.
“Seeds for the Future” is a leading global program of social responsibility activities, being Huawei’s largest global investment in Corporate social responsibility (CSR). It aims to support the nurturing of local ICT talent, increase people’s understanding and interest in the telecom industry, and encourage countries and regions to participate in building digital societies.
